Winter Park Memorial Hospital

Pink Out

Here in Winter Park, pink is always in.

Benefiting the Winter Park Memorial Hospital Mammography Scholarship Fund.

The City of Winter Park will “go pink” during September and October. Using a unique approach to breast cancer awareness, Pink Out Winter Park seeks to educate the community about the importance of breast health and promote the prevention of breast cancer for future generations. Through the sale of Pink Out Flamingos, the initiative will raise funds for the Winter Park Memorial Hospital Mammography Scholarship Fund to support women who cannot afford a screening mammogram or further diagnostic testing.

Since 2011, 144 women have received mammograms through the Fund and six women were diagnosed with breast cancer and went on to receive treatment. Your help is needed to continue the momentum of this vital resource. Simply purchase Pink Out Flamingos during the month of September and October or make a donation by clicking on the DONATE box. For as little as $35, you can help a woman in need get her screening mammogram and potentially save another life.

Lend your support and enjoy fun-filled events, purchase a flamingo and encourage women you know to do their breast self exam and get their regular mammogram—all while benefiting a cause that is truly making a difference in the lives of women and their families within our very own community.

Annual Mammograms

Save Lives

Importance of Screening
1 in 8 Women develop breast cancer

A yearly mammogram is the most effective method for detecting breast cancer early, when it is most treatable and beatable. According to the American Cancer Society, a yearly mammogram can identify cancer several years before any symptoms develop, significantly increasing survivability.
